Code of Conduct for Students

All students of SGAMHSS are expected to uphold the highest standards of discipline, respect, and responsibility. The following rules are to be strictly followed by every student.

AAttendance, Punctuality & Uniform
  1. All students must report to school punctually and be neatly dressed in the prescribed uniform.

  2. Students are expected to be physically fit, mentally alert, and morally upright at all times.

  3. English must be spoken on the school campus to promote language proficiency.

  4. Students should reach school on or before 9:00 a.m. and proceed directly to their classrooms.

BBehaviour, Safety & Relationships
  1. Order and discipline must be maintained during school hours. Students should not touch or use the belongings of others without permission.

  2. Students should behave in a polite, gentle, and respectful manner wherever they go, remembering that their conduct reflects the image of the school.

  3. Bullying in any form is strictly prohibited, in accordance with government guidelines.

    • This includes physical, verbal, emotional, and indirect bullying, such as spreading rumours or damaging property.
    • Cyberbullying through SMS, WhatsApp, email, photographs, or social media against any student or staff member is strictly forbidden.
    • Students found guilty of bullying will face strict disciplinary action, including expulsion.
  4. Students must maintain cordial relationships with fellow students and show respect towards teaching, non-teaching, housekeeping, transport, and security staff.

  5. Misbehavior, arguments, or disrespectful conduct towards peers or staff will not be tolerated.

CProperty, Materials & Safety Items
  1. Students should carry only the books and notebooks as per the timetable and must not bring unnecessary materials to school.

  2. Running, shouting, or playing inside the school building is strictly prohibited. After school hours, students must move silently and in an orderly manner through corridors to the exits.

  3. Writing, scribbling, defacing walls, desks, benches, boards, or damaging school property in any form is strictly forbidden.

  4. Any damage caused to school property must be repaired or replaced by the student, and may attract a heavy fine or expulsion. The decision of the management will be final.

  5. Bringing money to school without parental knowledge, borrowing or lending money, or exchanging personal articles is against school policy.

  6. Mobile phones, electronic gadgets, costly smart watches, expensive pens, and boxes are strictly prohibited. Such items will be confiscated if brought to school.

  7. Cutting cakes or celebrating birthdays or any events inside classrooms is not permitted.

  8. Students are strictly forbidden from bringing objectionable or dangerous materials, such as crackers, explosives, or any harmful objects, to school.

DRespect & Classroom Etiquette
  1. Students should greet teachers respectfully whenever and wherever they meet them on campus.

  2. When a teacher enters the classroom, students must stand and greet with “Good Morning” or “Good Afternoon” as appropriate.

  3. Students should stand and say “Thank You” when a teacher leaves the classroom.

  4. Students must sit only in the seats allotted to them and should not change places without permission.

Non-compliance with the above rules will invite disciplinary action. Parents are requested to cooperate with the school in ensuring that their wards adhere to this Code of Conduct.
